Getting crafty

So my friend Julie is pregnant with her first little one, and she is due in July.  I am so very thrilled for her, and even more excited she is having a little man!  His name is Matthew James.  She had her baby shower today at Crab Louie's - what a fun time.  I knew I wanted to get her something extra-special, but didn't really know what to get her.  Fortunately, my sister was just finishing up a beautiful baby-boy quilt, so I was able to snag that from her.  I went yesterday to get a gift bag, and wasn't thrilled with my selection.  Later, while at Joann's, I found a sweet little 'toy crate', and decided that would be a fun way to give the quilt.  I picked up a wooden "M", and beautiful blue paint, and got crafty!  I just painted the M and Daniel helped me glue it onto the crate.. this is the final result
And here is the final result with the quilt and Osh-Kosh overalls (a must for babies)

I think this is going to my new way of giving gifts for babies.. I really enjoyed personalizing something, and it's useful too!

Happy baby shower day, Julie!  Love you lots
