Are you over my hiatus?
Okay good, moving along.
So October is always one of my absolute favorite months. VT football is in full swing, my house becomes filled with autumn scents, and it's our Wedding month! Of course we got married in the best month/best time of the year. October 2011 brought our second anniversary, which I must say is not nearly as exciting as the first. For some reason, the first anniversary is, no joke, so magical. By the second anniversary you just feel like an old married couple. The people married for like 20+ years are laughing at you. For our anniversary, we decided to take a long weekend trip to Williamsburg. This married couple is pretty much broke, so I purchased a Groupon for an awesome little suite in Williamsburg [it was such a good deal I invested in 3 - 2 of them were for fun Girls' trips]. It was nice to just get away for a few days and have some fun alone time without silly technology getting in the way. We did some outlet shopping (Kim's choice, obvi), visited a brewery (epiphany: Kim still doesn't like beer, but I tried), and ate lots of really good food. Our anniversary date was to the Melting Pot, which never fails to please.

The rest of the month must have been uneventful because I can't remember anything to write about. But we did snap a few pictures-

Oh yeah, I remember one thing - Halloween was on a Monday (bummer!) and it was so rainy (double bummer!). Our dear friend Suzie came to visit on her way back to DC and we had dinner. She was so excited to have trick-or-treaters, so we let her do the dirty work. After the first year trick-or-treaters aren't quite as fun. At least not when it's raining. We had a nice visit and Daniel accidentally caught the house on fire. Well, not the HOUSE, but a basket. It was almost really bad, and should have been a wake-up call, but unfortunately I did something similar less than a month later. Our house fire days are [hopefully] over. Thanks Suzie for begin a part of such an eventful evening, and for saving our house from fire. Smokey the Bear would be so proud.
