Living in Fast Forward

Sometimes when I take a second to stop and breathe, I realize that life is going by way too fast.  I've graduated high school, college, gotten married, and bought a house... just to name a few.  So my dear friend Kenny said it right - "I’ve been livin' in fast forward; now I need to rewind real slow".  Fortunately, I have a fabulous best friend, Robin, who thinks the same way.  We found this awesome deal on Groupon - $125 for three days and two nights at a resort in Williamsburg.  After doing some trip advisor stalking, the place had some really good reviews, and after some budgeting, we decided to jump on it.  It was only $71/per person (after taxes, I can do math) - what a fabulous deal!  We could hardly wait, but planned for an early-June trip to kick off the summer right.

We planned for a Thursday-Saturday getaway full of shopping, beaching, and giggling.  After packing way too much stuff, we left Chester around 11am.  Because it was too early to check-in, we kicked things off right with a shopping excursion.  My first purchase was a gorgeous (and inexpensive) necklace.  Fortunately, we got to check-in a little early-
The place we stayed in was in a really quiet area and was gorgeous - so we referred to it as our "resort"

After settling in, we opted to get ice cream for lunch

Spouse Like a House - heaven in ice cream form

We went to the outlets and found some really good deals - Polo, Bass, and Gap were the big successes.  Unfortunately by the time we got to the Coach store, we had run out of moneys!  Maybe next time, after we hit the lotto big :)  After shopping, we went to Olive Garden to refuel.  We had a 45 minute wait, so we killed some time in the Yankee Candle Outlet.  Neither one of us had been in there, so it was quite the experience.  That store had everything from candles to Vera Bradley to a Christmas Store.  Yes, we got to step into December :)  I was a happy girl.  During dinner, we shared a bottle of Moscato (best wine ever) and the lasagna roll (best entree ever).  I'm pretty sure Olive Garden thought we were lesbians, so it was quite a success.  Afterwards we cuddled up on the couch and watched a movie - so romantical.
