this and that

Just a few little updates on what's going on-

My newest "green thumb" addition has been a hanging basket on our mailbox.  It was $9.99, and I figured it would be a fun way to add some color

It's college graduation season and I get a little bit sentimental when I think about the new Hokie alum.  Michelle Obama spoke at this year's VT Commencement.  I don't care what your political affiliation, but that's pretty cool.  And about a thousand times better than my speaker, and I couldn't even tell you who it was except he was terrible.  Check out what the First Lady did-
Yep, here she is touching the Hokie Stone, ready to hit the field.
On May 11, one day after Daniel was laid off, we celebrated our eight year anniversary of when we made it "official".  How's that for timing?  We were reminded of how far we've come, how far we have left to go, and that we are living life by each other's side.  Looking back on last year's blog post, we celebrated by going to Bonefish Grill & Sweet Frog.  This year, we had our families over for a cook-out, and looked forward to our many meals of Ramen Noodles in our near future :)  But really, the cook-out was fun, we had delicious food, and spent lots of good time with our families.

Oh yeah, and I'm sure you are wondering about this cutie
She's so excited about her outfit!  Her auntie is DEFINITELY crazy about her!
Well, she's such a doll!  As you can see in the picture, she is starting to smile A LOT!  The other night we were over at Kelly & Derek's for dinner, I had Abby in my lap and we were doing the "Y-M-C-A" and she was GIGGLING!  Oh my goodness, I've never seen such a cute thing.  I could just eat her up!  But I won't, because I like having her around.  I have also been real good at spending Kelly's money - we have gone shopping a few times, and Abby is one very-well dressed lady!

Abby's first ride on the carousel

Fun in the sun at Busch Gardens
Abby's first day at Ms Kathy's and Kelly's first day back at work

Hope she made your day!  She always makes mine :)
