Reasons why I seriously working for The Martin Agency:
No dress code - yep, you read right.. there is absolutely no dress code. I can wear a suit or jeans whenever I want. I'm sure if I wore sweatpants one day they wouldn't think twice about it. I walk around and see people's personalities coming thru from their style of clothes and I love it. My boss, for instance, wears cowgirl boots almost every day. I love it even more because I came from a place that was "suit preferred" - and you had to have closed-toed shoes. Today I am sporting my Rainbows. So yep, I love that I can wear whatever I want.
My own space - I have my own cube. This might not seem like a big deal to many of you, but I came from a place where I worked on the front line, in the public view, at a grocery store. You can't get much more loud and annoying as that. So I sit here listening to Pandora and decorate how I choose. So far, I haven't put many things up because I'm just trying to figure all that out. I have my own phone with my own voicemail and I can put whatever picture I want on my phone screen. Key word = what I want. Oh, and I have a nice lamp. Boo ya.
The people - everyone is SO nice. I get lost every 2 minutes, and they politely show me the way. I had cake for breakfast yesterday because people bring in food all the time. They send an email and say "leftovers from the pizza place on the third floor kitchen". Never had that before..
And the list goes on and on! What a nice change :)
