For our first ever real crafting session, we decided on something easy - tissue paper pom poms. We found a nice tutorial on marthastewart.com, and Robin spear-headed this one.

We had a "practice pom-pom" and discovered some changes to make for the real ones. Helpful hints/tips:
Make sure to crease the tissue paper really good when folding it
Don't be shy - when pulling each sheet towards the center, pull all the way to the pipe cleaner
We figured out that we are incapable of making pom-poms, but rather just really large flowers. We couldn't figure out a way to make them full circles and look good at the same time. Either way, they were still adorable, and would look awesome hanging up or as a table decoration.
