"I got my toes in the water, ass in the sand - not a worry in the world, a cold beer in my hand - life is good today"
So Friday was our beach day. Yorktown Beach is close to Williamsburg, so we decided to kick off our summer the right way - with some sand and sun. We woke up around 9, ate some apple pie muffins, lathered up with sunscreen, and made our way to the beach. We had some in-depth conversations about non-important things and drank something tropical. Couldn't get much better than that!

There was even a drawbridge!

Such a quaint place... trolleys kept driving by, tooting their cute little horns. I kept waiting for Danny Tanner/Uncle Jesse/Joey to step out
Since it was 130 degrees outside, we decided to go back to the resort to cool down and eat some PB&Js. After lunch (and more sunscreen), we finished out the day at the pool.
More importantly, we spent all day wearing the best purchase from the day before:

Floppy hats!
Fortunately, our resort had a full kitchen, so we saved some moneys and cooked dinner in. I made our favorite dish from college, we listened to songs from our college days
(I sound so old), and watched more movies. I think one of my favorite things was pulling out the sofa bed to watch movies :) We are so lazy.
