June Bug

Well, it's officially June! The unofficial start of summer is here. Let's see what's been going on lately...

While my parents were on vacation, Daniel and I were "Extreme Makeover" fairies and repainted their living room.  It turned out so good, and I'm glad that we were finally able to help our family who always helps us out.

No news on the job-front for Daniel. I understand patience is a virtue, but this waiting around is killing us! Needless to say, we have been playing a LOT of tennis... just to make sure we are preventing any unnecessary domestic violence. But really, we have been doing really well - from money to managing stress. It makes a tough situation all the better when you are on the same page.

Oh yeah, and our garage door is broken - raining... pouring.

We had a fun-family-filled Memorial Day weekend. Sunday we had a cookout at the Overstreet's. Abby was so cute in her sailor outfit

Then on Monday [Memorial Day] we had a big crowd at the pool. It was Abby's first time at the pool and she did fabulous! The water was chilly, but she was a trooper and didn't cry too much. I wish I had a picture, but I must have forgotten to take some.

Saturday, the Overstreet's and Sink's made a beach trip to Sandbridge for the day.  We were originally going to fight the crowd at VA Beach and watch the air show, but decided with a 3-month old in-tow, it would be best to go where it was less crowded.  We definitely made the right decision - we were able to park at the Belcher's beach house... and as a fabulous surprise - we could even see parts of the air show from where we were!  Win-win.  Daniel and Derek played lots of frisbee (including unnecessary diving/rolling around in the sand), bocce ball, and forgot to play dizzy bat with the new wiffle ball set.  Kelly and I tried to relax, but she was very busy keeping Miss Abby content.  But Abby did so well - through chilly water and sand, she didn't fuss too much!  She was cute as a button - er - bumble bee!

We packed up and ate at a really good pizza joint in Sandbridge - Lago Mar Pizza - highly recommend!  We had a day full of laughs and sun :)

Yesterday [Sunday], Kelly invited me to help her for Abby's 3-month pictures.  I can't believe it has been three whole months since her last pictures and since she was born!  Here is a sneak peek...

P.S. why are all of my posts about the pretty little Abby?  Must have stolen my heart...
