9/11 Exhibit - Pictures

Here are some pictures I snapped while at the Smithsonian's 9/11 Exhibit

Seatbelts - Recovered near Shanksville, PA from the wreckage of Flight 93

Firetruck Door - this truck from the FDNY squad 1 of Brooklyn responded to the first tower crash.  It was crush when the towers collapsed.

EMT badge - worn by Michael Collarone as he worked at Ground Zero during and after September 11, 2001

Doll - recovered from the debris at the Staten Island recovery site at Fresh Kills

Postcard - sent by Leslie Whittington to her sister before she boarded Flight 77 at Dulles Airport.  It reads, "Dear Sara & Jay, Well, we're off to Australia.  When we return we will have a new address (as of 11/30).  We don't know our phone # yet.  Where we are in "Oz", email will work best for contacting us: whittingl@georgetown.edu.  Love, Leslie, Chas, Zoe & Dana"

Calculator - recovered from the damaged offices of the Pentagon

Clock - the impact of the crash knocked this clock off the wall of a Pentagon helipad firestation, freezing it in time
